Hourly Chime in Background App Reviews

I searched a long time for an app like that! Thats what i need

This is an excellent addition to the functionality of my iPhone. A discrete chime alerts me to the passing of another hour and acts as a reminder to stop day-dreaming and get back to work! It can also act as a handy incoming call excuse to get out of a boring conversation with someone!

A useful app, but needs two features that it currently lacks: (1) a volume control to adjust the loudness of the chimed relative to my iPods main volume (eg. for when Im playing music on the same device) and (2) options for chimes on the half hours or the quarter hours.

Suggestions: 1. Add "Days" (Sunday, Monday, ...) feature, so I dont have to switch it off on weekends. 2. Make an iPad version. 3. Add "Every 15 & 30 mins" chime as well, so it will be more flexible.

great app.. useful for knowing the time without having to pull your phone out of your pocket. built-in sounds arent all that great.. would be better if you could pick an iOS5 ringtone.

This has got to be one of the best hourly chime apps Ive ever seen! Works absolutely flawlessly with Voiceover! Wait ago to the developers! You all ock!

I love the setup for this app, but I would defiantly like to see more options, especially for a $2.00 price tag! Good work though, love the idea! Ideas for improvement; chime every 15-30 min option, more sounds (like those found in the alarm section under clock). Other than a few simple improvements, its a great app idea for those of us who watch the time closely, and easily lose track of time. Thanks alot!

This app works perfectly. Its an amazingly simple time management tool. I agree; wed like more functionality and sound options, more subtle dongs or access to the phones ringtones. Reminds me of the "chime" app on my old palm treo. It provided 15/30 min alerts, very subtle dings as compared to the hourly dong.

Preforms exactly as advertised. Wish it had more options for $2.00 - an option to vibrate every hour would be great.

This app is called "Hourly Chimes," but doesnt include a "chime" option--only a cuckoo clock or a gong, neither of which is appropriate in a professional setting. Too bad it doesnt include options to have the chime ring, say, 2, 5, or 10 minutes before the hour. These seem like easy upgrades, and would greatly increase the utility of the app.

Please remove the red circle with the 1 on the icon, as that isnt how its supposed to be used, there is no need for it, and its annoying. A quieter chime and vibration would be nice.

I agree with previous reviews, need more options for sounds. The "chime" is too loud and the cuckoo clock too silly.

Only 2 sounds: Cuckoo Clock bell or Church Bell. Wish they had more selection..

Piece of junk. Dont waste your money. Doesnt work most of the time. Downloaded and now nothing but a blank screen. Like to give it less than 1 star.

I like it very much. Dont like the the red circle with the 1 inside. Wish it also alerted on the half hour just like a ships clock. I was US Navy.

works exactly as described, "hourly chime", but its appearance in a "cuckoo clock" search is misleading, since it cuckoos once at 1 oclock, then, absurdly, only once at 2 oclock, only once at 3 oclock and so forth. Correcting this should be an easy and anticipated update.

Waist of money- unless you want a totally OBNOXIOUS NOISE THAT LINGERS EVERY HOUR! So terrible ! Dont waist the money - donate it. Or put it in your piggy bank - anything else would be a better use of you money!
